I'm New!

Visiting a new church can sometimes be intimidating; that's why we've created this resource so you can learn more about us.

Welcome! The following is a list of commonly asked questions by those who are new to Lone Tree Community. Feel free to browse around, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us.

Where are you?

Since we are just starting out you can find us meeting at Jubilee Fellowship Church 9830 Lone Tree Pkwy Lone Tree CO 80124 (an awesome church by the way!!!). Our Worship Service is downstairs in their Children’s Church Room, or as we like to call it “the jungle.” Follow the signs around the campus and you’ll find us.

How should I dress?

People dress casually for church. Feel free to wear what you are comfortable worshipping in.

What is your worship experience like?

We love to praise Jesus so we will sing for usually about 20 minutes. Most people stand during this time, but you can feel free to sit if you are more comfortable that way.

Is there a place for my kids?

Children age 0- elementary are welcome in the service or you can take them across the hall to our safe and clean Childcare rooms where they will interact with other kids their age and allow you to worship undistracted.

What about Jr High & High School Kids?

Youth Class is held at 9 a.m. the same time as the Adult Study Class. This class is usually led by one of youth leaders.

Why do you have a female pastor?

1 Cor 1:27 tells us, “God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.” This verse could be a theme for our congregation. We are foolish and weak in the eyes of most. Yet we are precious to God. He shows up in our worship and we have learned to love His presence. He is what we need. His upside-down kingdom welcomes all (Gal 3:28). Whereas in the Old Testament men made covenant with God through circumcision (Gen 17:11), meaning you had to have the right male equipment to get in. In the New Testament circumcision is replaced with baptism (Acts 8:12), so now all you have to do is be able to get wet. This is the only qualification for being a part of Christ’s Kingdom. Whether male or female God wants you to get wet with Him!

Why is your Worship on Saturday?

Worship on Saturday has roots in God’s creation (Gen 2:2-3), as well as the nation of Israel (Exodus 20:8-11; Deut 5:12-15). These passages and others like them point us to the joy of enjoying a day of rest to remember what God has done and this is something we have grown to love and enjoy. We are saved by the blood of Jesus, not the day we worship on. We know it isn’t the day most people associate with church but if you will give us a try, we believe what you will find is sincere worshipers who love Jesus every day of the week.

How do I get plugged in with others?

Although worship is a really important part of what we do together each week, it is not always the easiest place to connect with others. So we have a variety of options that will allow you to go deep with God and get to know others from Lone Tree. The encouragement that comes from others who are also hungry for God is extremely important so please take the opportunity to be a part of more than just the 10:30 service. Please see our Weekly Events page for details. You can also Contact Us with any other questions you may have.
